Manager & Senior Research Analyst

   Ela Karahasanoglu joined BEAM Bayesian Efficient Asset Management, LLC (BEAM) in February 2008. As Manager of BEAM, she is responsible for the implementation of BEST trading strategies and general supervisory functions. As Sr. Research Analyst, she conducts research that BEAM provides as part of its consulting services to BEST (Bayesian Efficient Strategic Trading, LLC).

   From April 2005 until she joined BEAM, Ms. Karahasanoglu worked for BEST Strategic Trading Canada Company (an affiliate of BEAM) as a Senior Research Analyst. Her duties included analysis of investment strategies, conducting market research, developing new strategies as well as trading.

   Previously, Ms. Karahasanoglu worked in Germany as a Finance Project Consultant for a European Union Project where she was liaising between the European Union and the Turkish government and ministries, conducting monthly economic and equity market research, and supervising a project team of 30.

   Prior to 2002, Ms. Karahasanoglu worked for Merrill Lynch in New York as an Analyst in the Credit Derivatives Group and as a Financial Advisor in the International Private Client Group. She started her career in 1996 as a Specialist Trader in the Portfolio Management Group of Sumer Bank in Turkey.

   Ms. Karahasanoglu received her MBA from McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University in Washington D.C., USA in 2000 and a B.A. with honors in Finance and Accounting by Marmara University in Istanbul, Turkey in 1997. Ms. Karahasanoglu holds a Chartered Financial Analyst Designation since 2002 and has recently completed the Canadian Securities Course offered by Canadian Securities Institute, Canada. Ms. Karahasanoglu has completed her Series 3 registration for trading futures and options.
